Aging in Place

What is Aging in Place?

Research has shown that 90% of seniors want to remain in their own homes as they age, and most of the time, this can be accomplished. Aging in Place is the term used to describe using equipment, strategies, or supports to help you stay in your own home safely as you age.

At Enable Health, we value your independence, and with our assessments, we provide the education, service, and skills that will allow you to live safely and independently at home. Most of our Aging in Place services can be completed in two visits or less (1 assessment visit and 1 follow-up).

What to Expect

During an assessment, we come to your home, and will assess how you move around and use the different areas of your home. We help to identify risks or hazards, and recommend strategies, supports, or equipment that may be able to minimize those risks and assist you in staying safe while living at home.

We work with you to problem-solve solutions that are going to work for you and your family. We provide you and your loved ones with the peace of mind that you can live as safely and independently in your home for as long as possible.

As registered Occupational Therapists, we can also help you to access funding that may exist for equipment, or renovations to your home.
